MADNESS

Exam week may be over, but that doesn't mean there isn't any madness still lingering in the air! Aside from post-exam-trauma and a new semester, there was also this insanity about two weeks ago called the "All You Can Wear" sale over at one of Winnipeg's vintage stores, Ragpickers.

The rule was simple: $20 + 20 minutes + everything you could physically put on yourself, you got to keep. Any idea alluring enough to make perfectly sane people stand in line in outside in -30 deg. Celsius weather and then battle it out for some vintage goodies is fine by me, and so off we went! Try to see if you can find my little cameo ▲▲▲ in this short video of the sale... (hint, I'm the loser with three hats on her head)

But basically, it was the craziest 20 mins of my life, but it was all good fun and I'm sure my buds and I will all be back next year:)

SOMETIMES

Sometimes I get so inspired, I don't know what to do with myself. When that happens--and it seems to happen on an almost regular basis--I make like to make imaginary outfits. Oh, and fill my tumblr with all my inspirations.

TEXTURE+COLOURGALORE

What's a girl to do when presented with a fresh new canvas in the form of this body-hugging little black dress? That's the question I asked myself when I was contacted by AKIRA Online to participate in a little blogger contest. Whoever wears it best gets a gift certificate to their online shop, and so I was more than eager to try my hand at styling this fab dress.

Add a splashy printed jacket, some glittery tights, my favourite new furry hat and I'm ready to go! Wish me luck, lovers;)

It's funny how I can go from Madame Moustafa (my fortune teller alter ego, who I just made up 5 seconds ago)to a cougar-ish 30-something in one post. Ah the magic of blogging!

Anyways, exam week has officially ended for us, everyone is off to celebrate, and I'm off to hit on younger boys in this outfit.

I've never been one to adorn my head with fancy things, but as soon as I laid my eyes on this bad boy, I knew I had to have a turban! So with one tug (that sent a bunch of clothing flying into my face) and a bit of experimentation later, I had a prada-esque headband.

Ah, the things I come up with when I'm stressed and uninspired. At least it's useful? Haha, it's pretty good fix for a bad-hair day if you ask me. But I think the best part is that it sparkles too--I'm a sucker for shiny things;)

So I know I've introduced you to my dad earlier, but I don't think you've ever met my sister:)

Everyone meet Kristine, my twelve year-old younger sis. Yeahhhh, we don't look anything alike (she takes more after my dad) and we certainly don't have the same taste in clothes, for those of you wondering.

Introductions aside, I would like to direct you lovelies over to my TUMBLR. Yep, I broke down and finally got one! I made it about a month ago, and have been using it to post my inspirations. Really great way to finally organize the pretty pictures that have been lurking unused and unappreciated in the depths if my computer:)

CRAZYLEGS

Even though I can't dance to save my life, and therefor am not famous for any sick dance moves (heaven forbid!) I'm beginning to think that 'crazy legs' will be my new nickname at school anyway. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I've been sporting some crazy leg-wear recently (see zipper leggings) and have gotten all sorts of looks.

But, ehhhhh. I think I'll keep rocking the odd zipper/stud/floral/sheer/bright legging. The weather's been quite nice recently anyway, so why not?
