I've been meaning to do a jewelry post, but have been putting it off, that is until dear Miranda reminded me when she asked to see my collection:)

The above pictured is my everyday jewelry on rotation, basically the same-old I've been wearing recently and that I've collected over the past year... mostly things I've thrifted with the exception of the deer necklace and tiger ring (found in an Osborne Village Boutique--Shout), the last two rings (bargained for at the fleamarket), and the DIYed quartz crystal necklace.

Anyways, this isn't my entire collection, I just thought I'd show you the basics first. Part two may be coming up if anyone's interested...just holla.

**NOTE. If anyone's wondering if I'm a kabbalah-ist, the answer is no... the braided red yarn is in no way/shape/form representing kabbalah, and by wearing it I am not "making fun" of it, I just wear it because I like a little colour on the wrist...in fact, I have a hot pink one and a royal blue one I made recently and that are on rotation. You will see those soon.**

Went thrifting yesterday and came home with lots of goodies, including this kick-ass Metallica tee and entirely-sequined tube top that I used as a skirt. The skirt was seriously tough to put on! I mean, it was stretchy--but don't try this at home--otherwise you'll be getting sequins in places not mean to have sequins, haha!

ANYWAYS. Listen to Enter Sandman. Sickest guitar rift ever.
Oh, and happy Friday!

RENDEZ-VOUS AVEC VOUS

Today, Antonia of Live Glam or Die and I had some plans for a downtown Winnipeg rendez-vous. We didn't have much time but we made the most of it, and had a blast! And yeah, we don't have any actual pictures together but then again, my "papparazzi" friend Bryce had other plans at the last minute, and had to cancel. Oh, well, better luck next time!Photobucket

Due to the outburst in eyebrow compliments over the last few posts, I've decided to do a mini photoshoot with them, haha. I even dressed them up for the occassion, darkened with black pencil for extra oomph.

For the meantime, I've got a science exam to study for, will return with outfit posts and a little surprise in a few days time.

Enjoy!

Today, I finished my french exam, (easier than I thought!) had a slurpee and ice cream for lunch, later regretted it, and made a walmart run. BUT DID I MENTION I FINISHED MY FRENCH EXAMS?! Hells yeah, now I've only got one more!

Plus extra time to answer your long awaited questions about those leather look alike jeans:)

how do you put them on, won't the paint be really stiff?
after the paint dries, it's pretty much as stiff as a board:) to put them on, you have to be pretty patient because it takes quite some time to litterally pull them on one leg at a time.

are they sticky or rough?
no, actually. a bit stiff-to-the-touch maybe, but once you wear them around for a while they dont feel so bad.

does the paint on top flake?
not at all, the gloss mixed in with the paint helps the acrylic stay flexible so it wont flake off.

can you wash them?
no! these arent meant for heavy duty wear, anyway. if you must, turn them inside out and dip in cold water.

Still extremely busy with exams, guys! Sorry if I haven't gotten back to comments yet, I'm supposed to be studying my french right now, but I snuck off to blog, yikes! Anyways, this is what I wore today. It was really nice out--winnipeg's finally warming up! Better put my dresses into good use...

Only 7 more days until my final exam is over. GAH!

SUNDAYMORNING

Quickie outfit post! I have literally 15 mins until my bus comes or I'll be late for work! I've been studying all morning for exams and will probably be really bvusy all week too. So, don't be surprised if I go missing for a few days:)

Until then, I'll see you lovelies later!

Here's a photoshoot shot two weeks ago with the stunning Bev. I've got more, but here's a little taste, for now.

Oh, and happy advanced Friday!

I made these leather-like jeans a couple of weeks ago, but just haven't had the chance to show them off. So, um, here they are! They are basically jeans painted all over with acrylic+gloss. If you want the complete instructions, you can go here like I did. Anna-Maria of Fashion Flux is a genius! And if you have any Q's or want a closer look at my jeans, just ask and I'll post them in my next post:)

Hey guys:) Sorry I've been a little bit late answering your comments and commenting back! I've been busy all week planning my "sweet sixteen" party and prepping for exams and projects.

BUT. I think the busy week was worth it, last night's Cobrasnake-themed party (haha. expect anything less?) was awesome...perhaps everything a sweet sixteen should be! We ate good food (spring rolls, hors d'oeuvres, BBQ ribs, cake and the punch was a success) danced to good music and had an amazing time. There's nothing quite like a kick-ass friday night with your besties!

ANYWHO. Anyone have any funny/embarassing/disaster/memorable stories of their sweet sixteens? I'd love to hear them!

Hope everyone has a great weekend:)
